HPV Awareness Day – 4th March 2022

4th March 2022 is HPV Awareness Day.

We are encouraging Kiwis between the ages of 9–26 to get vaccinated against HPV. 

HPV can lead to cancer but HPV related disease is easily preventable with vaccination. For those aged 9 years and older, vaccinations are free.

Women aged 25–69 who are overdue for their cervical smear are encouraged to get a screening for HPV.

The sooner you are immunised the better.
